Support Local Families & Help Regrow the Rainforest
Deforestation is a consequence of economic incentives. Therein lies the solution.
Together with local families, we’re converting deforested land into regenerative forests by providing a direct cash incentive to shift land-use practices. Short-term cash payments are made to local farmers for reforesting their properties with a mix of native tree species and shade-grown cacao.
The native trees restore wildlife habitat and help fight climate change by sequestering carbon from the atmosphere (78 tons CO2/ acre), while the shade-grown cacao provides the landowner with an independent and sustainable revenue stream over the long-term (increasing their annual income 4x).
By donating to the Regenerative Agroforestry Fund you can help reverse tropical deforestation, support local families, and save endangered species at the same time.
The Power of Regenerative Agroforestry
Before (2020) and After (2023) comparison of the Murillo Family regenerative agroforestry parcel
In three short years our Regenerative Agroforestry Program has already made a profound impact, with more than 30,000 trees planted and 30-acres restored within the Capuchin Corridor. It’s also garnered international attention through acclaimed news outlets like Smithsonian Magazine and Mongabay.
All of this success is thanks to your generosity and the hard work of the participating families. Our collective effort has revitalized a vital part of the Pacific Forest and empowered 38 families to be stewards of their own sustainable and profitable agroforests.
As we reflect on the success of this initiative, we envision an even greener future ahead. Over the next three years, our goal is to add another 100 families to the program and triple the number of acres restored. Join us in this collective effort to nurture our planet and foster vibrant regenerative communities for both present and future generations!
